The Person You Would Be Meeting
People often come to therapy with parts of themselves they understand well and other parts that remain difficult to reach. I do not expect you to arrive with a clear story or a neat explanation.
My role is not to simplify you, interpret your life from a distance or offer ready-made answers. I work through attentive conversation, curiosity and genuine engagement, noticing together what emerges in words, silences, relationships and embodied experience.
This way of working reflects how I understand human life: not as something that can finally be resolved or perfected, but as something continually changing, unfolding and asking something of us. Therapy can offer a place to become more able to inhabit that life as your own.
Therapy can be serious, but it need not always be solemn. Warmth, humour and ordinary human contact also have a place.

What I Value in Therapy
Why I Work This Way
I work this way because distress rarely belongs to one isolated part of a person.
Anxiety, shame, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, illness or neurodivergent burnout are lived within a whole life — through the body, relationships, history, culture, choices, losses and hopes.
Existential psychotherapy gives room to the questions beneath symptoms: How have I come to live this way? What have I had to become in order to survive? What matters to me now? What can still change?
Relational and embodied attention allow us to explore not only what you think about your life, but how you experience it and how familiar patterns may unfold between us.
I value honesty without harshness, curiosity without intrusion, seriousness without solemnity, and the freedom to question assumptions — including my own.
I value complexity, difference and the right not to be forced into a predetermined version of what being “well” should look like.
Therapy needs to make room for pain, uncertainty and limitation, but also for pleasure, humour, creativity, desire, tenderness and what makes life worth living.
The aim is not to produce a more acceptable version of you, but to support a more conscious, self-authored way of living.
